Quick look: review of M.A.C Pro Longwear Paint Pot in 'Perky'

Today is one of those weird, rainy and gloomy days when I know I have so much to do but have no incentive to actually do it. Feeling this way, I thought I could scribble down a short review of my new 'go-to' product - something fun and enjoyable to write to take my mind away from all those pending tasks.

I do love M.A.C paint pots - they were my first ever cream-based products to stay on my eyelids for the whole day and function both as an all-over-lid colour and as a base for other eyeshadows. Perky is the new favourite in my collection, mainly for its amazing brightening effect and staying power.

M.A.C Pro Longwear Paint Pot in Perky
M.A.C Pro Longwear Paint Pot in Perky comes in a small glass jar with matte black lid. The packaging is sturdy and looks expensive containing 5 grammes of product - this may not seem a lot but in case of paint pots - it means at least 8-10 months of everyday use.

The Pro Longwear formula makes Perky extremely long-lasting although I noticed it to be a tiny bit drier than the regular paint pots (in a non pro longwear formula). Therefore, I would recommend applying it with your finger to help it melt and make it super-creamy. Once applied, paint pot dries quickly and and stays put for at least 8-10 hours on my super oily eyelids.

The best thing about Perky is its shade. The colour is a mixture of beige, orange and pink. It's natural enough to be considered nude (and be daylight appropriate) but unique enough to make a statement. This cream eyeshadow works like a remedy for the lack of sleep, tiredness and dark circles. When on the eyelids, Perky will make your eyes seem bigger and brighter and you'll look like you've had a good night sleep. Definitely a must-have during those depressing November days. In Sweden it can be purchased at www.kicks.se and www.maccosmetics.se.
